Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to products and services supplied by A&H Blinds, including made-to-measure blinds, curtains, shutters and related measuring, consultation, delivery and fitting services.

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order with us. By accepting a quotation, placing an order or instructing us to begin work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Our Products and Services

Our products and services may include:

  • Made-to-measure blinds
  • Curtains
  • Shutters
  • Awnings and related window-covering products
  • Home or commercial consultations
  • Measuring services
  • Product advice and sample selection
  • Delivery
  • Professional fitting and installation
  • After-sales support

The exact products, specifications and services included in your order will be shown on your quotation, order confirmation or invoice.

3. Quotations

Any quotation we provide will be based on the information, measurements, product choices and specifications available to us at the time.

A quotation does not become a binding order until it has been accepted by you and confirmed by A&H Blinds.

Where additional work, products or changes are requested after a quotation has been accepted, additional charges may apply. We will explain any material additional costs before carrying out the extra work wherever reasonably possible.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, promotional offers and discounts cannot necessarily be combined with other promotions.

4. Measurements

Made-to-measure window treatments depend on accurate measurements.

Where A&H Blinds carries out the measuring service, we will take reasonable care to obtain the measurements necessary to manufacture and fit your products.

If you provide your own measurements, you are responsible for ensuring that they are complete and accurate. We cannot normally accept responsibility for products that do not fit because measurements supplied by the customer were incorrect.

You should inform us before ordering about anything that could affect measuring or installation, including unusual window construction, restricted access, electrical wiring, pipes, damaged surfaces or other relevant property conditions.

5. Made-to-Measure Products

Many of our blinds, curtains and shutters are manufactured specifically for an individual customer’s windows, dimensions and chosen specifications.

Once manufacture of a genuinely bespoke or personalised product has begun, changes may not always be possible.

Please check your order details carefully, including:

  • Product type
  • Measurements
  • Fabric or material
  • Colour
  • Finish
  • Control position
  • Operating system
  • Quantity
  • Any additional options

If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible.

Under UK consumer rules, the usual change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply to goods that are genuinely made to a customer’s specifications or clearly personalised. This does not remove your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable consumer law.

6. Colours, Fabrics and Samples

We make every reasonable effort to represent our products accurately.

However, colours and finishes shown on a website, computer, tablet or mobile screen may vary from the appearance of the physical product.

Where samples are provided, minor variations may still occur between samples and finished products because of manufacturing batches, natural materials, fabric characteristics or lighting conditions.

Natural materials such as wood may contain variations in grain, colour and texture. Such natural variation does not necessarily indicate a defect.

We recommend making your final selection from physical samples where colour or texture is particularly important.

7. Orders and Payment

The total price and applicable payment arrangements will be stated on your quotation, order confirmation or invoice.

Where a deposit or advance payment is required, the amount will be confirmed before the order is placed.

Any remaining balance must be paid in accordance with the payment terms stated on your order or invoice.

Ownership of goods may remain with A&H Blinds until the amount due for those goods has been paid in full, subject to applicable law.

We reserve the right to delay manufacture, delivery or installation where an agreed payment has not been received.

8. Changes to an Order

If you wish to change your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will try to accommodate reasonable changes, but changes may not be possible once materials have been ordered or manufacture has begun.

Where a requested change results in additional materials, manufacturing, administration or installation work, we may revise the price accordingly.

We will explain any material additional cost before agreeing the change.

9. Cancellations

Your cancellation rights depend on the type of product or service ordered, how the contract was entered into and whether manufacture or work has begun.

Where applicable consumer cancellation rights exist, we will honour them in accordance with UK law.

However, statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights can be different for goods that have genuinely been made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us promptly at:

Email: [email protected]
Telephone: 020 8810 0001

Where cancellation charges are legally permitted, they will be reasonable and reflect relevant costs or losses arising from the cancellation rather than operating as an unfair penalty. UK government guidance states that businesses cannot simply rely on excessive or unfair cancellation charges or automatically retain all advance payments regardless of circumstances.

10. Home Consultations and Contracts Made at Your Property

Where an order or contract is entered into during a home visit, additional consumer rules may apply depending on the circumstances.

Where you have a statutory cancellation right, we will provide the information required by applicable law.

If you specifically ask us to begin a service during an applicable cancellation period, we may require your express agreement before starting the work.

These provisions do not override any exceptions that may apply to genuinely made-to-measure or personalised products.

11. Delivery and Lead Times

Any delivery, manufacturing or fitting date provided by us is an estimate unless we expressly confirm otherwise.

Lead times may be affected by factors including:

  • Product type
  • Bespoke manufacturing requirements
  • Supplier availability
  • Material availability
  • Delivery delays
  • Access to the property
  • Installation requirements
  • Events outside our reasonable control

We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed if a significant delay occurs.

Where a specific delivery or installation timeframe has been expressly agreed, your applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.

12. Installation and Fitting

Where professional fitting is included in your order, you must provide reasonable access to the property at the agreed appointment time.

The installation area should be reasonably clear of furniture, ornaments or other obstacles before our fitter arrives.

We may need to drill into walls, ceilings, window recesses or frames as part of normal installation.

You should notify us beforehand of any known:

  • Concealed pipes
  • Electrical cables
  • Underlying structural issues
  • Asbestos
  • Fragile surfaces
  • Specialist finishes
  • Other hazards or installation restrictions

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or damage that was already present in the installation area before our work began.

If installation cannot reasonably be completed because access has not been provided or because of an undisclosed site condition, a further appointment or additional work may be required.

13. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and complete information relevant to your order.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing access for agreed appointments
  • Informing us of known hazards or installation restrictions
  • Checking order information where requested
  • Following product care and operating instructions
  • Preventing misuse or unauthorised alteration of installed products
  • Supervising children and pets while our installers are working at your property

Where applicable, you should also ensure that you have permission from the property owner, landlord or other relevant party before installation takes place.

14. Product Quality and Your Consumer Rights

We aim to supply products and services to a high standard.

Consumer goods must meet applicable statutory requirements, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for an agreed purpose where the relevant legal requirements are met. Services must also be performed with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts those statutory rights.

15. Faults, Damage and Problems

If you believe that a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly manufactured or has been fitted incorrectly, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Please provide:

  • Your name
  • Order or invoice details
  • A description of the issue
  • Photographs where helpful

We may need to inspect the product or installation before determining the appropriate solution.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, this may include repair, replacement, repeat performance or another appropriate remedy.

A manufacturer’s guarantee or additional warranty does not replace or reduce statutory consumer rights.

16. After-Sales Care

Some products require routine cleaning, maintenance or adjustment.

You should follow any care or operating instructions supplied with your blinds, curtains, shutters or other products.

Damage resulting from misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification or failure to follow reasonable care instructions may not be treated as a manufacturing or installation fault.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

17. Child Safety

Window blind cords, chains and operating systems should be used in accordance with the relevant safety instructions supplied with the product.

Any safety devices provided as part of the installation should not be removed, altered or disabled.

Customers should contact us if a safety device becomes damaged or if they require advice regarding the safe operation of their blinds.

18. Our Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

In particular, we do not seek to exclude legal responsibility for matters that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights, faulty goods or personal injury caused by negligence.

UK guidance makes clear that businesses cannot use consumer contract terms to remove responsibility for matters such as faulty goods, goods that are not as described or other statutory protections.

We are not responsible for losses that result from information supplied incorrectly by a customer, misuse of products or circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

19. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for delays caused by events that we could not reasonably prevent or control.

These may include, for example:

  • Supplier or manufacturing disruption
  • Transport delays
  • Severe weather
  • Fire or flooding
  • Industrial disputes
  • Utility or communications failures
  • Government restrictions
  • Other significant events outside our reasonable control

Where such an event occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and keep you informed.
